The Eleven Cities Tour of Friesland, Holland was a success! All three of us, including Caitlin’s dad who joined for the ride, finished in around 12 hours. The total tour was 235km/146mi, but we had closer to 160mi when factoring in transit to the start and from the finish. 

It was a fantastic tour throughout rural Holland, passing through the province’s eleven cities. 15,000 cyclists participated. We also were fortunate to have our Dutch extended family cheering us on at several points along the route – they were a much needed boost!

Yesterday we spent the day with family in Arum and taking a much needed break. Today’s weather forecast had projected 50mph winds and heavy rain so we’ll probably ride from Amsterdam to The Hague on Thursday. That’s a short ride so we’ll be able to walk around for a bit. More later!
